3 Steps Formula To “Positioning Marketing”: The Best Internet “Positioning Strategy” to Succeed Quickly
Did you know that the only marketing strategy that can truly help you offline is the same strategy that will help you online?Can you guess which marketing strategy I’m referring to?
Jimmy Davis, one of my personal mentors wrote an article the other day with the following question as the heading
“If you had a son and you could only tell him ONE thing that he should focus on to be sure of blazing success in this industry … what would you tell him?”
I don’t know you but this question struck me to the heart.
A great question like this deserves a great answer, and the answer is the very same strategy I’m talking about in this post. It has to do with the way you position and brand yourself within your own business: your “positioning strategy”.
You see independently of the way you decide to learn or the way you start to market your own internet business, there’s a unique strategy you need to follow in order to succeed online or offline.
I like to call this strategy: The Brand You Approach.
The brand you approach or “positioning-marketing” strategy simply means that no matter what business you’re in and what kind of products you’re trying to promote, your best chance to succeed is by branding you before the product, company or opportunity.
In order to succeed in the home based business industry, especially if you are into direct sales, MLM or network marketing you need to guide your prospects to see you as a leading expert and present yourself as the most valuable element of your whole marketing funnel.
Why?
Well because You ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF YOUR WHOLE MARKETING.
P-E-R-I-O-D.
You must be tired of listening about this, but I’ll say it to make my point: “People relate to people, they join people, they don’t join products, companies or business opportunities.”
And most importantly “people want to join and team up with LEADERS not LOSERS.”
Therefore the way you POSITION and BRAND yourself within your “positioning-marketing” is crucial in your whole marketing plan and it becomes the key marketing strategy for your home based internet business.
Long gone are the days even in internet when people could make sales without even knowing who was buying and what for. Nowadays including top affiliate marketers use sophisticated marketing methods to get to know their buyers and grow their prospect lists, even if it is just to give them a free sample.
And I know you are asking how do you present yourself as a leader if you’re just starting and haven’t even made 1 sale.
Well here is my 3 step formula to get you started:
- Stand out and tell your story to the whole wide world (www). Why you want a home based business, what are your frustrations, etc.. and how you plan to change from now on. No need to talk about how much money you make and don’t make. True leaders don’t need to show their bank statements to prove their leadership. I don’t.
- Become a sponge for learning new things. Increase your value to the world by becoming a student of internet marketing and personal development.
- Make a commitment to teach others what you learn every day. Do videos, write articles, join forums, master mind with others etc. and share your knowledge from your past or present, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is to share, you will always find someone who is a bit behind than you and needs from your advice and teachings.
The essence behind all this is that when you increase your value to others, you never have to “sell” anything. People approach you. You become a prosperity MAGNET, and achieving the kind of financial freedom you want becomes so easy, it’s a “piece of cake”.
On the other hand, if you don’t have any real value to offer someone, they’ll take their business elsewhere. That was my problem when I started my business.
So the most important thing you could ever do, no matter what profession you have, is to increase your value to others by increasing your knowledge, experience, and skill sets.
I like to encourage you to take your personal training and personal development very serious: become that sponge and you will not even notice when you transform into a sought-after and successful entrepreneur!!!
